What does "Clean Title with Insurance Claim Paid Notation" mean?
These bikes have titles that are clean other than a brand stating that an insurance claim was paid on this vehicle. In most cases these bikes can be registered for road use directly after buying them. Some bikes with these titles have damage that will need to be fixed before it can be driven legally but usually do not require an inspection. Some states do not support this classification and issue a traditional clean title.
What does "Salvage Title" mean?
These motorcycles have been damaged and salvaged by the insurance company. This title does NOT necessarily mean that rame or engine damage is present. In most States These motorcycles can not be registered to be street legal until they pass an safety inspection. This inspection is usually performed by a State patrol office or a County Sheriff. Once a salvage vehicle has passed the safety inspection, it is labeled "Rebuilt Salvage" and may be registered and driven legally in most states.
What does "Previously Salvaged Vehicle that has Passed Inspection" mean?
In most cases this means that the title was previously salvaged and is not "Rebuilt Salvage. These motorcycles may be registered and driven legally in most states.
What does "Sold with Bill of Sale - NO TITLE WILL BE ISSUED" mean?
Usually this means that the motorcycle was totaled by the insurance company and can not be registered or titled. These bikes are commonly used for parts. Some states have programs for rebuilding these motorcycles and obtaining new titles but it varies and is not something to bank one when buying a bill of sale titled motorcycle
